Can't believe this was the only blog post I managed to find online criticizing the personality/cognitive test trend. It really makes you feel so bad about yourself as a job candidate and, I agree, feels incredibly insulting after the hours you put into perfecting your resume, cover letter and portfolio. Regardless of the benefit it may bring the company, it really does give me a bad first impression as a job applicant. It feels like my candidacy is reduced to test scores, and — as you said — makes me feel like the company doesn't trust me to handle their projects before I've even had the chance to work there and prove myself.
